...the owner, janilee, who lives on the premises, is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and most accommodating. she is from the u.s. but has been living there for years and speaks fluent italian. her help in navigating logistics, making reservations, and offering suggestions is most invaluable. as so completely understandable as janilee's directions to her farmhouse are, we still advise that you first arrive by daylight, as this is a remote location.
we did extensive research on many, many properties before deciding on janilee's farmhouse, and we made the right choice - nothing could have been any better!

It is absolutely exquisite!
The view is breathtaking and it is so incredibly relaxing, calm and quiet.
We couldn't wait to come back here everyday after watching the racing at the Mugello Circuit and we all wished we had booked to stay longer. We sincerely hope to visit again next year and hopefully bring some of our family to share it with them.
Thank you again for everything! The baking was so delicious to wake up to each morning too.
The surroundings have made us ever more grateful to our Creator Jehovah God.

What a beautiful property and home!
This is our first time in Italy and this was the perfect place for us to relax, socialize with our friends, and enjoy a home-like environment.
You have done such a lovely job with all of the extra's from the home-baked crostata and home grown herbs and tomatoes to the tasteful decor, comfortable beds, and all the amenities in your kitchen and out of doors.
We love the home and would recommend it to anyone we know coming to Firenze!

“Heaven on Earth”
This property is absolutely amazing. My family stayed there for a week, the accommodations were wonderful. The house is beautiful and very homey. It is very clean, with all the comforts plus more, of home. Janilee, the owner is so accommodating and fun too. She is always smiling and happy. She is a fabulous cook and a wonderful person. We did not want to leave when it was time to go. The weather was fantastic and we ate most of our meals outdoors. Breakfasts would be under a beautiful tree in the backyard, with a swing hanging that was used daily by the kids. Dinners would be at a big family table on the front porch with wonderful conversation and music, or in the kitchen by the beautiful fireplace with a pizza oven inside it.
The surrounding area is perfect for walks and enjoying nature. It is a fabulous place to relax and renew. We took a nearby bus to Florence for shopping and exploring museums. It is so close to wonderful sightseeing and so much history. There isn't enough time in the day to see everything. The location is perfect for getting around and seeing things but also to feel like you are out in the country. Staying at the house instead of a hotel gives you a whole different perspective. You feel like you are living there instead of visiting. Someday I hope to return for a longer stay.
I would recommend this property to everyone, it is one of the most favorite places I have ever visited.

Thank you so much for the warm, hospitable lodging at your home - the beautiful lush valley - fruit trees, olive & chestnut trees along with herbs, flowers & vegetables - are just the right environment for us travelers. Each meal so deliciously prepared with love & health in mind.
